Pierre Post 8 16U Green Sox fend off Miller's late push, hold on 6-4

Miller was unable to fight back from the big hole it dug itself into against Pierre Post eight 16U Green Sox, and Miller lost 6-4 to Pierre Post eight 16U Green Sox after falling behind by three runs in the sixth inning.

Miller scored on a groundout by Deboer and an RBI single by Bertsch in the sixth inning and an RBI single by Gnat in the seventh inning. Unfortunately, Miller wasn't able to take the lead back.

 

Chase Bolte boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 4-4 day at the plate to pace Pierre Post eight 16U Green Sox. He doubled in the fifth inning and singled in the first, third, and seventh innings.

 

 Camden Espelans's six strikeouts were enough to push Pierre Post eight 16U Green Sox past Miller. Camden allowed one earned run on three hits and four walks over five innings.

 

Breland ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He lasted just 3 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed one run.

In the top of the first, Pierre Post eight 16U Green Sox grabbed the early lead, 1-0. Chase singled to ignite Pierre Post eight 16U Green Sox's offense.

Pierre Post eight 16U Green Sox didn't relinquish the lead after scoring two runs in the fifth inning when it scored on an RBI double by Chase.

Pierre Post eight 16U Green Sox added two more runs in the top of the seventh. A single by Chase ignited the offense,, scoring Steven Rae. That was followed up by Josh Albright's single, bringing home Chase.
