Post 8 Vs Coon Rapids on Saturday by Dan Hoblick KCCR Radio

Due to rain throughout the Brookings area, Post 8's final game of the
Wayne Hauschild tournament came on Saturday vs Coon Rapids. Coon Rapids
jumped out on Post 8 early with three runs in the first inning of play.
In the bottom of the first, Ryan Goodwin would score courtesy of a
sacrifice fly from Alex Gray to make the score 3-1. Coon Rapids added
another run in the third to increase the lead to 4-1. Post 8 squandered
multiple oppurtunies to tie and take the lead with runners in scoring
position. In the 4th inning, thanks to a single by Austin Wagner and
another sacrifice fly from Alex Gray, Post 8 trimmed the deficit back to
4-3. Gray finsihed the game with a team high two RBI's. Coon Rapids was
able to post two more runs on the scoreboard and use stout pitching to
close out the Saturday afternoon contest and win by a score of 6-3.

Willie Welch pitched the complete game, giving up four earned, adn
striking out six. Carson Eisenbeisz led the team in hits with two on the
day. Post 8's record sits at 10-11-1 overall on the season. Post 8 will
return to action Wednesday when they travel back out to Brooking for a
doubleheader starting at 4 and 6PM. You can listen to coverage on 1240AM
