The Jr. Legion squad from Pierre won its opening qualifying round game at the state tournament in Sioux Falls last night by defeating Sioux Falls by a score of 5-2.

 

Quinn Reimers was stellar in the win as he pitched six innings, allowed just two runs, and struck out 10. Landon Badger and Brevin Kaiser each had RBI singles in the inning.Trey Campbell and Badger led the way for Post 8 with two hits a piece. The Jr. Legion team will continue play Friday at the state tournament in Sioux Falls when they battle Yankton at 4PM this afternoon.
