Pierre Post 8 falls behind in sixth inning in 3-1 loss to Sioux Falls West

Pierre Post eight lost the ballgame after losing the lead in the sixth inning Wednesday, as Sioux Falls West grabbed a 3-1 victory in seven innings at Sioux Falls SD.

 

Sioux Falls West had no answer for Isaac Grode, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Sioux Falls West managed just three hits off of Grode, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three during his five innings of work.

 

Seth Bjordal got it done on the rubber on the way to a win. He pitched 1 1/3 shutout innings. Bjordal struck out none, walked one and gave up no hits.

Cooper Walton couldn't get it done on the hill for Pierre Post eight, taking a loss. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed three runs.

Sioux Falls West closer Justin Kautz put away the final three outs to record the save.

Pierre Post eight managed to score one run in the fourth inning on an RBI single by Ben Leidholt.

Sioux Falls West didn't relinquish the lead after scoring three runs in the sixth inning when it scored on three singles.
