Pierre Post 8 Baseball outslugs Brookings in 4-2 defeat

Pierre Post eight Baseball lost 4-2 in seven innings at Bob Sheldon Field - Brookings on Monday, despite outhitting Brookings nine to eight.

Garret Jeppesen recorded the win for Brookings. He allowed two runs over seven innings. He struck out seven, walked two and surrendered nine hits.

Will Ellwanger took the loss for Pierre Post eight Baseball. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed four runs.

The game was never in doubt after the first, as Brookings scored two runs on two doubles.

Brookings got one-run rallies in the second inning and the third. In the second, Brookings scored on a sacrifice fly by Mack Burns, scoring Mitch McKibben.

After pushing across one run in the top of the fifth, Pierre Post eight Baseball faced just a 4-1 deficit. An RBI single by Nick Rabern triggered Pierre Post eight Baseball's comeback. The Pierre Post eight Baseball threat came to an end when Jeppesen finally got Quinn Reimers to strike out.

One run in the top of the seventh helped Pierre Post eight Baseball close its deficit to 4-2. A sacrifice fly by Landon Badger fueled Pierre Post eight Baseball's comeback. Pierre Post eight Baseball's Reimers to end the ballgame.

Pierre Post 8 Baseball falls 11-6 to Coon Rapids

Landon Badger did all he could to give Pierre Post eight Baseball a boost, but it wasn't enough to get past Coon Rapids, as Pierre Post eight Baseball lost 11-6 at Hyde Stadium on Sunday.

Badger paced Pierre Post eight Baseball at the plate. Badger went 3-5 and scored two runs. He tripled in the first inning and singled in the sixth and seventh innings.

John Kutzke recorded the win for Coon Rapids even though he allowed six runs over six innings. Kutzke struck out six, walked one and gave up nine hits.

Nick Rabern was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed seven runs in 3 2/3 innings, walked six and struck out four.

Coon Rapids never trailed after scoring two runs in the first on two doubles.

Coon Rapids tallied one run in each of the third, sixth and ninth. In the third, Coon Rapids scored on an RBI single by Ray Wellner, bringing home Justi Reeves.

Coon Rapids increased its lead with four runs in the fourth. A bases loaded walk scored Tate Andrews for the inning's first run.

Five runs in the bottom of the sixth helped Pierre Post eight Baseball close its deficit to 8-6. An RBI triple by Quinn Reimers, a two-run double by Cooper Carter, an RBI double by Conner Gerber, and an RBI single by Bennett Eisenbeisz triggered Pierre Post eight Baseball's comeback. Finally, Kutzke got Bradley Dean to fly out to end the threat.

Coon Rapids tacked on another two runs in the seventh. The inning got off to a hot start when Connor Boone singled, scoring Noah Wolfe.

Post 8 games Vs RC 320 postponed

The doubleheader at home against RC Post 320 on Thursday 6-23-15 has been postponed. The games were postponed due to storm damage to the left field wall.  The doubleheader has been rescheduled for July 7th at 5 & 7PM.

Pierre Post eight Baseball built an early edge on Sunday, but Jamestown, ND roared back to steal a 5-3 victory at Fossum Field - Aberdeen.

An RBI single by Nate Soulis gave Jamestown, ND the lead in the sixth inning.

Nolan Kratz got it done on the bump on the way to a win. He allowed three runs over seven innings. Kratz struck out four, walked none and gave up six hits.

Jamestown, ND was sparked by Soulis and Kratz, who teamed up for five hits and three RBIs.

Nick Rabern couldn't get it done on the hill for Pierre Post eight Baseball, taking a loss. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed two runs.

The top of the third saw Pierre Post eight Baseball take an early lead, 3-0. The Pierre Post eight Baseball attack began with a single from Bradley Dean. Then moved Dean from first to second. Rabern singled, scoring Dean. More runs came home for Pierre Post eight Baseball when Gerber scored on a sacrifice fly by Landon Badger and Rabern scored on an RBI single by Quinn Reimers.

The lead stayed with Jamestown, ND after the sixth, when it scored two runs on an RBI single by Soulis.

Pierre Post eight Baseball beat Mobridge on Saturday 9-1 at Fossum Field - Aberdeen in five innings.

Pierre Post eight Baseball scored three runs in the fifth on Pierre Post eight Baseball scored in the fifth on an RBI single by Bennett Eisenbeisz, an RBI single by Eisenbeisz, a sacrifice fly by Nick Rabern, an error, and an error.

 

Justin Berheim racked up two RBIs on three hits for Pierre Post eight Baseball. He singled in the first and third innings and doubled in the fourth inning.

 

Will Ellwanger got it done on the bump on the way to a win. He pitched four shutout innings. Ellwanger struck out two, walked one and gave up four hits.

S Weleba took the loss for Mobridge. He allowed six runs in four innings, walked one and struck out two.

Pierre Post eight Baseball never trailed after scoring one run in the second on an RBI single by Spencer Sarringar.

Pierre Post eight Baseball got three-run rallies in the third inning and the fifth. In the third, Pierre Post eight Baseball scored on an RBI single by Berheim, scoring Connor Ryan.

Pierre Post eight Baseball built upon its lead with two runs in the fourth. Ryan started the inning with a single, bringing home Conner Gerber. That was followed up by Berheim's double, plating Ryan.

Pierre Post eight Baseball jumped out to an early lead on Lamoure, ND and captured a 13-1 victory on Saturday at Bryce Field - Aberdeen.

The game was decided quickly as Pierre Post eight Baseball exerted its will early with 11 runs in the first three innings.

An RBI triple by Landon Badger, an RBI single by Quinn Reimers, and an RBI single by Spencer Sarringar in the first inning and a sacrifice fly by Nick Rabern, an RBI single by Badger, a steal of home by Badger, and an RBI single by Justin Berheim during the second inning fueled Pierre Post eight Baseball's offense early.

Badger racked up three RBIs on three hits for Pierre Post eight Baseball.

Lamoure, ND couldn't get anything going as long as Bennett Eisenbeisz was pitching. Eisenbeisz gave up just two hits, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out seven during his five innings of work.

Shay Ness took the loss for Lamoure, ND. He allowed 13 runs in five innings, walked one and struck out two.

Pierre Post eight Baseball added four more runs in the top of the third. Rabern started the inning with a single, scoring Will Ellwanger. That was followed up by Connor Ryan's single, plating Conner Gerber.

Pierre Post eight Baseball built upon its lead with two runs in the fifth. Badger's triple got things going, scoring Ryan.

Justin Berheim was untouchable on Friday, throwing a no-hitter in Pierre Post eight Baseball's 7-2 victory over Huron.

No Huron batter was able to locate Berheim's pitches during the game. Berheim threw a no-hitter, striking out three batters and walking two while recording his momentous feat. He got Cully Nelson to ground out for the final out of the game.

Connor Ryan got on base four times in the game for Pierre Post eight Baseball.

Paul Cramer was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in 2 2/3 innings, walked five and struck out none.

Pierre Post eight Baseball jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first. Pierre Post eight Baseball then tacked on more runs when Badger scored on an error.

Pierre Post eight Baseball stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the second, scoring four runs on an RBI double by Landon Badger and an RBI single by Conner Gerber.

The bats were busy at Cadwell - Mitchell on Thursday, and when the dust cleared Pierre Post eight Baseball had a 10-8 win over Mitchell Post 18 in seven innings.

The teams combined for 26 hits, including four extra base hits.

Pierre Post eight Baseball held off Mitchell Post 18, as Mitchell Post 18 was unable to overcome a six-run third inning deficit.

Mitchell Post 18 scored on an RBI single by Elijah Pommer and an RBI single by Ross Yeo in the third inning and a wild pitch, an RBI single by Yeo, and an RBI single by Spencer Neugebauer in the seventh inning. Unfortunately, Mitchell Post 18 wasn't able to take the lead back.

Nick Rabern racked up three RBIs on four hits for Pierre Post eight Baseball. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the second, third, and seventh innings.

Pierre Post eight Baseball never trailed after scoring one run in the first on a sacrifice fly by Landon Badger.

Dylanger Pierson, Spencer Neugebauer and Jed Schmidt helped lead Mitchell Post 18. They combined for five hits and two RBIs.

Pierre Post eight Baseball jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the top of the third. The Pierre Post eight Baseball attack began with a single from Justin Berheim. A stolen base then moved Berheim from first to second. Reimers doubled, plating Berheim and Landon Badger.

Mitchell Post 18 survived Pierre Post eight Baseball's surge and put up four runs of its own in the third. Mitchell Post 18 scored on a solo home run by Neugebauer, an RBI single by Sam Michels, a sacrifice fly by Elijah Pommer, and an RBI single by Ryland DeVries.
